MY FIRST CYANOTYPE
My first cynatype (the image next to this text) turned out really well I think the wheel was really 3D and it was very detailed also I think the keys were really well because you can see them really clearly. On my cynatype I added small object for example a hair grip and I think that turned out really well and you can see it clearly. Although the earning in between the wheel and the keys kept moving in the wind so it was not that clear. We made these by putting objects on light on natural light sensitive paper. This is normal paper but has had a special coat of blue spray that makes the paper sensitive to natural light. first we went out side and placed the photo paper on the bench, then we placed our objects on the paper i added : a calculator a piece of shaped wood, my keys, 2 hair grips, keyrings, and earring and a Wheel, making sure the objects didn't move once we finished putting our objects on the paper we left these in the natural sunlight for around 10 minutes so the paper can expose around the objects. We then lifted the objects carefully and then we brought the paper inside and rinced them in water to show the exposure clearer. we then looked at all of our cynotypes and i was really impressed with mine.

What is a cyanotype
A cyanotype is a photographic printing technique that gives of a cyan-blue print. An english scientist and astronomer sir John Herschel discovered this procedure in 1842. Herschel considered it as mainly reproducing notes and diagrams as in blueprints. It was Anna Atkins who first introduced this to photography, she created a limited series of books based on cyanotypes, these cyanotypes were mainly plants for example algie.
