This photo was taken at the Gaudi park in Barcelona. I think this photo catches the peacefulness of nature, it is a ground view photograph of plants. If you were standing next to these plants they would be no more than 30cm but with ground view it has made them look about 3x taller. also because the camera has been tilted at an angle it give the photo some dimension, were as if you had the camera ground view but just pointing straight forward it would look like a mess and you would not be able to tell what the object was. Personally i really like this photograph because of the angle it has been set out, the nice blue background that helps the plants stand out and the fact it gives you the feeling you are small looking up to the tall plants.
This photograph was taken on one of the streets in Barcelona. I think this is a very creative and contrasting photo because you have the stillness of the foreground but then the lights and trees in the distance almost look like they are moving. This has feel has been created by not letting the camera focus, so then you get the sharp floor but then the smudged lights in the background causing a slight mist over the trees. Because of the way the photo has been taken, the trees in the distance look like they go on for miles until they start to disappear into the distance. I think that because of all the lights your eyes are drawn to all different places on the photo so you get to explore and think about the photo more.
This is a photo of the ceiling of a church designed by Gaudi in Barcelona. This photo is different to all the rest i think because instead of the ground view making the ceiling look taller it has made it look smaller but people that have not been to Barcelona and seen this wont be able to tell but because i was there it does look smaller, This was probably caused by the angle of the photo because it is tilted making it look like the pillars are actually quite small. Also the contrast that i tried to create didn't work because of the angle so the contrast between the light one side and the darker the other has not really worked because even though it is darker its quite subtle and does not stand out
This photograph is the slightly cloudy sky. This photo is one of those photos that catches your eye and if you was to see it in a selection of photos it would draw your eye and make you take a second glance. I really like this photograph because of the slight contrast at the bottom right to the top left corners, if the photo didn't have the contrast i don't think it would look as good as it does. I also like this photo because of how the clouds are not coverin the whole image, they just gradually start to build up in an almost pyramid shape.
This photograph was taken by my door and its of my cat. A lot of people don't like these sort of pictures with animals but i thought i would try to experiment with it. Personally i really like photos with animals in and this photo has worked quite well i think because of the blur. The main body of the cat is quite still and the two back legs are still but the front half of the body are blurred. The head is the most blurred and this is what works for me the most, because you cannot see the facial features and because the front paw is blurry and because of the angle the paw looks like it really stretched out compared to the body and the other paws.
This is a photo taken of the door way slightly more one side than the other. This is showing two different rooms but at the same time of day but with the lighting slightly different on both sides it gives it more of a dramatic impact between the two rooms. I also think that because the door frame is there the two different light are not blending together but are in stark contrast to each other. Because of the coats at the side, when you look at the image it starts to give it more of a spiral feel this is also backed up by the fact that the angle the photo was captured was not a line with the door frame.
This is a photo from under a door it is the worst out of all of my images because it didn't turn out well at all. I was doing some experiment with other under the door pictures but my cat kept lying by my door i tried putting an effect on it and it made a bit better. i do like this photo a little because its quite hard to tell what it is and it makes you really think about it ! this is the only image that i have used an effect on because i tried to keep all of my images as natural as possible and then the next lot of photos i take im going to use a effect on all of them so i can see the difference on all of them.
This is another under the door photograph, i did this one because as i said i wanted to experiment with this technique and see how they turned out without an effect. i cant really tell how it turned out i kind of like it but the lighting is not that good in my house so was not the result i was looking for . to improve i could have gone close to the door and have made the lighting better. This picture is very close to being the worst but i think its quite cool how you just see a line of light and you have to look to see what is in that rim of light.
This picture i a ground view but instead of facing up it is facing down if that makes sense, because the image was taken at the top of a set of stairs looking down at the hall way.i like this photo because it is different to all of the other images and the lighting is quite good and the angle is cool, but i think the angle could have been better because i would like to see more of the steps and more of the door so when i do it next time i shout have the angle higher.
this is a photograph i took while walking home from school and i had the idea for my project. it took about 5 takes to get this but i really like this picture. 1 thing that could be better is the skateboard could have been closer to the camera but even though it is quite far away it is still good. I like this photograph because the person skateboarding is the main focus and with the trees lining either side it draws your eyes even more to the center of the image. Also you get the shimmer of the sun in reflecting of the damp floor.
